From the artist: Where I grew up, Gumbaynggirr country, we had a huge stretch of beach. Scotts Head at one end, Nambucca Heads at the other and Gumma in the middle. I remember the first time my dad showed me the Midden sites at Gumma sandunes. It was like a window back in time and is still a very special spot to me.
This painting represents my connection to this stretch of coastline. The 3 blue circles represent campsites - Scotts Head, Gumma and Nambucca Heads. The scattered white dots represent the shells and remains of the midden sites.
