Tracks in the Sand
From the artist: Growing up my Dad used to take us up the beach a bit. He was a keen fisherman and surfer so we were either checking the surf or seeing if the fish were biting. Sometimes I’d just be hanging off the back of his motorbike terrified. Dad would always point out the tracks in the sand.
Goannas, kangaroos, snakes, different birds, wild dogs, crabs. My great great grandfather, a Wiradjuri man, was a black tracker. This painting represents my family connection and memories with my dad and the tracks we leave behind after generations before us.
