Description

This piece is inspired by Bangalang- meaning Autumn in Wiradjuri- Bangalang is my favourite time of year, watching the colours of the leaves and tree bark change as they fall away preparing for new growth and rejuvenation. I love seeing all the new textures and markings on the trees that are brought to the surface and the stunning designs left by the moth larvae tunneling between the layers of bark. The top, bottom and centre textured layers represent tree bark. If you look very carefully the subtle textured design running through the centre shows meeting places representing the ongoing connection between communities and country.

*All prints are rolled with care and shipped in a mailing tube unframed unless otherwise specified. Please allow 7-10 business days for your unframed paper orders to be processed and shipped & up to 14 business days for your unframed canvas orders to be shipped. Professional framing recommended.

Canvas with Oak Frame 2-3 weeks

All stretched canvas artworks are framed with Tasmanain Oak. The frame features a shadow box gap, that sits between the frame and the canvas, giving the artwork a sophisticated floating appearance.

Oak Framed Fine Art Print 2-3 weeks

Cotton Rag Fine art prints are professionally framed in Tasmanian Oak oak hardwood timber frame, which features a 5cm white border around the art. The artwork is then finished with glass or acrylic to protect the fine art print.

Acrylic & Glass

Please note, if ordering outside of metro areas framing acrylic will be used in place of glass to reduce the risk of breakage in transit. Being shatter-proof and lightweight it is a fantastic option for shipping and also installing into areas where safety is paramount. Being a plastic, it does scratch easier than glass, so care must be taken when cleaning it.

All orders within metro areas will be framed behind glass and shipped via a professional art courier.

Care Instructions- Please take care in handling your new print as the paper and canvas is very receptive to oils and moisture from skin. If you need to open your paper print ensure your hands have been washed and dried thoroughly. Handle as little as possible. Avoid hanging in direct sunlight.
