Description

This painting is inspired by Wiradjuri Country and the connection I have to my Great Great Grandfathers and Great Grandmothers country. This particular part of Wiradjuri is a landscape of towering hills and sand stone cliffs, beautiful bushland, rivers and waterfalls.

The three hills represent the three generations of my family visiting  Wiradjuri country. The large circle represents Wiradjuri country as a meeting place to be with our ancestors. The stick figures and leaves in the line detail represent our ancestors close connection to country. The rest of the line work is made up of hills. I am so mesmerised by the hills on country, the colours textures and shapes jutting out of the earth.
