Sun Down
This painting is again of the landscape on Wiradjuri Country. The towering hills made up of beautiful sandstone cliffs and caves. In parts the rock decorated with ochre sprayed hand prints taking us back to another time. The texture and colour palette of the sand stone lit up at sunset. We watched the sun go down over the hills each afternoon.
This painting uses a sand medium which gives a lot of texture.
The three symbols represent the three generations of my family that lived here- my G Grandmother, GG Grandfather and his father.
940x 940mm framed in Tasmanian Oak.
